Moncure Baptist Church actively supports missionaries in cooperation with other churches and by donations directly to individual missionaries who maintain relationships with our church.

Some Ways We Support Missionaries:

Cooperative Program:  Our church donates 3% of all undesignated offerings to the "Southern Baptist Cooperative Program."  This program supports thousands of missionaries and mission projects around the world by combining donations from thousands of individual churches.

North Carolina State Baptist Convention:  Our church donates 1.5% of all undesignated offerings to support the work of our state Baptist Convention.  NC Baptists work together to support church planters and mission projects across NC.

Sandy Creek Baptist Association:  Our church donates 3% of all undesignated offerings to support this local association of approximately 40 churches working together.  Our Association supports new churches, mission trips, and special projects like the annual booth at the Lee County Regional Fair and Christian sports clinics for young people.

Mission Trips:  Every year we donate funds to members of our church and those from other churches to enable them to go on short-term mission trips.  In the past decade we have helped to send these short term "missionaries" to many places including Vermont, Pennsylvania, Alaska, Azerbaijan in Asia, Colombia in South America, and Kenya in Africa.

Individual Long-Term Missionaries that we support:

Emily Garrett, who was a member of our church during her youth, is now a missionary with Youth With a Mission (YWAM).  She depends entirely on free-will offerings to support her work with the street children of Bogota, Colombia, South America.

Pritchard and Dana Adams have been serving as missionaries to Haiti for over 30 years.  They depend entirely on free-will offerings to support their work in church planting.  Their ministry has established several Haitian churches, schools, a Bible College, and has led thousands of Haitians to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior.  They serve with Rehoboth Ministries which is headquartered in Fayetteville, NC.

Leonel Pulgarin is a pastor of a church and the Colombia Baptist coordinator for church planting in the state of Antioquia, Colombia.  We support him and his work and coordinate our work in Colombia to help plant and strengthen churches  there.

Steve Poole is a church planter working in Annapolis, Maryland as part of the Send America effort.  We support him and his family monthly and with special assistance as needed.
